As a member of the Leicom Group with more than 23 years of experience in building and infrastructure automation, Leicom ITEC has completed the digital transformation of its product portfolio.
ElioT – the prototype of Eliona – initially complemented our product business with IoT technology and brought its protocols, such as LoRaWAN or BLE, into conventional GA and GLT. With a considerable number of IoT use cases being implemented as references, the awareness for what ElioT brings in terms of benefits and added value increased: the further development of a digital infrastructure with a focus on relevant protocols, including data, and linking these with modern IT technology.
In this respect, we focus consistently on a holistic, open and smart solution. As a first step, retrofitting individual sensors and connecting specific solutions proved to be a standard approach for the management of new technology.
With our smart building platform, we are taking the next step, and making a data platform available which is open to all of the relevant data in an infrastructure. Our goal remains the wish to connect different systems, and also to act as a broker (hub) in order to distribute the data to different systems. This has an immediate impact on the existing installations, including operations, and we avoid building up compartmentalised systems, otherwise known as data silos.
Our longstanding experience means that we are able to understand infrastructures, speak all the industry-specific protocols, read asset tagging systems and integrate IFC (BIM), Haystack and individual IoT solutions.
In this way, we optimise building and business processes for property owners and companies, and allow all the users of a digital infrastructure to interact with it. Which brings us back to Eliona: a smart building platform.
As an “enabler”, Eliona stands for “innovation” in the building and infrastructure, and as a Smart Building Assistant, unites all IO systems.
